Afterschool programs are available at all kindergarten through 4th grade elementary buildings and Johnson Crossing Academic Center for students in grades 5 through 8. Programs run every day school is in session from dismissal time until 6:00 p.m. During afterschool, students receive snacks and help with homework, and participate in recreation and academic enrichment activities.

Summer programs are held at the Presbyterian Church of Fremont and Bell Field Elementary. In June and July students receive lunch meals and snacks and participate in engaging activities.

Fremont Public Schools offers afterschool and summer programs through funding from 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants from the Nebraska Department of Education.

The Fremont Family YMCA partners with FPS to offer programs at the following buildings: Bell Field, Deer Pointe, Howard, and JCAC.
